It's that time again! This year, we have once again honored outstanding farms from all over Germany, Austria, Italy and Switzerland that make a farm holiday something very special with their passion, creativity and hospitality.

With the bauernhofurlaub.info Award we not only want to honor the work of the dedicated hosts, but also inspire vacationers to discover the most beautiful holiday farms for their stay.

The award for the 30 best holiday farms is based on the criteria of popularity, quality and positive guest experience.

A holiday on a farm has become one of the most popular types of holiday in recent years. Guests are looking for authenticity, experiences in nature and warm hosts - and that is exactly what our award-winning farms offer. The award creates a stage for those who outdo themselves with their work every day.

We are pleased to present you the winners of this year’s award:

1st place Familotel Landgut Furtherwirt (Tyrol / Austria)

The Furtherwirt estate in the Kitzbühel Alps not only made it to the top of our top 30, but was also named Top Family Farm 2025! Clear proof of the outstanding quality and commitment of the Hagsteiner family, who run their farm with a lot of passion.

A paradise for children

  • 450 m² indoor play area – divided into age groups so that all children can play safely and happily
  • Indoor pool & children's indoor adventure pool as well as a 680 m² natural bathing lake for water fun in all seasons

8th place Ferienhof Landerleben (Vorarlberg / Austria)
A farm that lives sustainability: From green energy from photovoltaics to biodegradable cleaning products – even the cows contribute to the heat supply with an innovative hay drying system!

10th place Erbhof "Achrainer-Moosen" (Tyrol / Austria)
Tradition and modernity meet on this charming farm: experiences such as dwarf forest hikes, playful dwarf goats and egg collecting in the evening combine perfectly with sustainable innovations such as an e-charging station and fiber optic internet.

11th place Biohof Kofler (South Tyrol / Italy)
An authentic farm experience: guests can feed animals, try their hand at milking cows and mucking out, and then enjoy the freshly produced milk – sustainably and in line with closed farm cycles.

13th place Ferienhof Karstens (Schleswig-Holstein / Germany)
A paradise for children: free pony rides, morning feeding of goats, dwarf sheep and chickens with egg collection, a courtyard playground with a giant trampoline and exciting tractor rides with the farmer. The barrier-free and tasteful holiday apartments have been offering the highest level of comfort for all guests since 2021.

21st place: Der Röhlsche Hof (Saxony-Anhalt / Germany)
A farm full of adventure: feeding the animals in the evening, looking for eggs, pony rides or even leading a pony yourself - plus a playground and the popular hay house for hay fights. With annual investments, the holiday apartments are constantly modernized and made more comfortable.

22nd place Feriengut Unterhochstätt (Tyrol / Austria)
A paradise for families: petting animals such as rabbits, goats and highland cattle, a large playground, a football field and a heated children's pool in the pool area - during the holidays there is even childcare. Lots of space and numerous rides ensure endless fun around the farm.

23rd place Landhaus Bender (Styria / Austria)
An organic farm with charm: children can romp around on the large playground all year round, pet goats and explore nature in the adjacent forest. At Easter there are creative workshops where wooden Easter bunnies are painted. Particularly unique: the owner demonstrates the art of basket weaving, which guests can try out for themselves. With new bee pastures and an expanded bee population, the farm is also committed to sustainability.
