Description Farm holidays
The Maurachgut organic farm, located in the heart of the beautiful Gastein Valley, is a very special place for your holiday at any time of the year. The traditionally organically managed mountain farm is located at 1,000 m in a quiet location with a wonderful view, surrounded by the magical peaks and natural landscape of the Hohe Tauern.
The well-equipped holiday apartments for 2 or 4-6 people invite you to relax and unwind.
The Maurachgut is an ideal starting point for your activities all year round: The town centre of Bad Hofgastein, the Alpentherme Gastein with its thermal water bathing lakes and the valley station of the Schlossalmbahn are just a few minutes away by car (2 km). Numerous hiking opportunities and mountain tours can be started from the farm in summer.
In winter, you can ski directly from the slopes to the organic farm. The toboggan run is also located behind the farm. Snowshoe hiking is also possible.
For animal lovers, the Maurachgut organic farm offers a variety of different animals: cows with calves, sheep, goats, horses, cats, rabbits and chickens. You are welcome to help with feeding in the new feel-good stable, and petting is also allowed. A special experience is the close contact with the animals.

Our organic farm is located in the Gastein Valley in the Salzburger Land. It is located on a hill in a secluded location, two kilometers from the town center of Bad Hofgastein (approx. 25 minutes on foot).
Coming from Dorfgastein, shortly after the Bad Hofgastein town sign, take the first exit at the Bad Hofgastein Mitte roundabout (near Schlossalmbahn). Then turn immediately right and then take the first left (signs Weinetsberg/Maurachgut). Now follow the mountain road to Haus Edel and continue straight ahead to the forest clearing (sign Maurachgut). Here you turn right and follow the road for another 400 m, which leads directly to our house.
