Regarding guest requests, the only thing that comes to mind is this: In 2025, we converted the entire house from rooms to apartments, for the future as we get older, so we wouldn't have to cook all the time. Our business used to have space for more people.

A particularly frequent and welcome guest request in 2025 was the desire to actively participate in farm life and experience daily life firsthand. Many guests wanted to help out – for example, with haymaking, feeding the animals, or collecting eggs daily. 2025 was a very special year at Binterhof: all of our mother goats gave birth – a total of five kids, who provided countless moments of joy, fun, and lots of cuddles.

Pfauenhof Burger Grill - During peak season, we grill delicious burgers made in-house according to our own recipe, using our own organic Galloway grass-fed beef. You can customize your burger with your own toppings and homemade burger sauces. Relax in our comfortable seating area in and around the farmyard. We are the first generation to run the farm, having purchased it at the end of 2020.

More and more guests are seeking a farm holiday as a conscious counterpoint to their hectic everyday lives. Particularly in demand are breaks, slower-paced days, peaceful spots in nature, and genuine nature experiences with animals – something that wasn't so explicitly requested a few years ago. The redesign of our orchard had the greatest impact on our guests in 2025.

We really thought about it for a long time, but we couldn't come up with anything. The guests seem perfectly happy. It's hard to say, though, since we always try to make something big out of small things on the farm every year.

The most surprising guest request for us in 2025 was the desire for barrier-free, spacious accommodations combined with authentic farm life. Many guests today particularly appreciate that comfort, accessibility, and a family atmosphere naturally go hand in hand – a requirement that wasn't so prevalent a few years ago. Even without any new construction, it became clear in 2025 that our barrier-free, spacious apartments, built in 2021, continue to have the greatest impact on our guests.

Guests increasingly appreciate it when we take the time for a quick chat: they're looking for more personal contact and a family atmosphere. This year, we've added a roof and lighting to our foosball and ping-pong tables so guests can play in the evenings or when it's raining. We've also added five raised garden beds right in front of the house.

Of course, everyone wanted to pet our Ouessant sheep, since we only got them last year. A very funny and special request from a little boy, which I fondly remember, was to be allowed to pet our pigs. The expansion of our family hiking trails around the house has been a real hit, and our stone-painting station was very popular.

The most surprising 😊 wish for 2025? Quite simply: what's the Wi-Fi password? Hay, chickens, and cowbells are lovely, but a little internet access is essential. The biggest positive impact on our guests in 2025 was the completion of the new, lovingly furnished Säntisblick holiday apartment, which can accommodate up to six people.
