Visiting the Hauserhof in the idyllic Habachtal

Welcome to the Hauserhof in Bramberg ! A place where agriculture is still alive and nature can be experienced in its full glory . We recently had the pleasure of visiting the Blaikner family from the Hauserhof, and Mathias Blaikner gave us insights into life on his active farm and the two alpine pastures in the beautiful Habachtal.

Agricultural passion and milk production 🐄

The Hauserhof is a lively farm where agriculture is practiced with passion. The Blaikner family attaches great importance to still producing real milk and allowing guests to take part in the daily processes in the stable. Mathias enthusiastically told us about his favorite animals - the free-roaming pigs on the mountain pasture . These warm animals greet not only the family, but also guests, hoping to be fed and pampered.

Nature-loving Habachtal and its treasures 🏞️

The Hauserhof is located in the idyllic Habachtal, a natural valley that enchants with breathtaking mountain panoramas and picturesque waterfalls. The Blaikner family greatly appreciates these natural beauties and enjoys sharing their enthusiasm with their guests.

Variety of accommodations and offers 🏡

The Hauserhof offers a variety of accommodation, ranging from cozy double or multi-bed rooms to spacious apartments. These are well equipped and combine rustic charm with modern comfort. Here, guests can experience everyday life on the farm up close, be it helping out in the stable, feeding the animals or other agricultural activities. Upon arrival, guests even receive the “National Park Hohe Tauern SommerCard” for free.

The Hauserhof not only offers an authentic farm experience, but also the opportunity to stay overnight in two inviting huts. Comfortable rooms and a rustic atmosphere await guests in the Enzianhütte and Smaragdalm 🏔️ . The Enzianhütte offers space for up to 30 people to celebrate special occasions. In addition, it was ensured that a room in the Enzianhütte was suitable for wheelchair users and was equipped with wheelchair-accessible sanitary facilities.

The adjacent Smaragdalm also promises unforgettable experiences. Here the Blaikner family rents out charming rooms in typical Austrian style. The alpine pasture time with the grazing cows and the wonderful views of the mountains make this place a true jewel.

Marmots, glacier stream, waterfall and exciting excursion destinations 🚴

The certified active farm is the ideal starting point for excursions into the surrounding area. The famous Krimml Waterfalls , the water wonder world in Krimml and the majestic Großglockner are just a few of the worthwhile destinations. An absolute highlight is the Habachtal with its emeralds . Here guests can go on a treasure hunt and enjoy the unique landscape.

In summer, the holiday farm offers a variety of hiking and cycling tours amidst the impressive mountains. In winter, the snow-covered landscapes invite you to enjoy activities such as skiing, tobogganing on the world's longest toboggan chain , cross-country skiing and snowshoeing. Relaxation can be found in the nearby Tauern Spa in Kaprun.

The host family lives for their farm and nature. Mathias lovingly looks after the cows, while Gitti takes over the organization of the guest business. Grandma Lisbeth spoils the guests with her delicious meals and is the heart of the house. The children, Hannah, Mathias and Isabell, are always excited to show the little guests around the farm and play with them.
