Treetop Forest Bavarian Forest
The new treetop walkway in the Bavarian Forest National Park allows you to stroll 8 to 25 meters above the forest floor, immersed in pristine nature and experiencing unique perspectives.
The structure is primarily made of wood and is carefully integrated into the magnificent mountain forest, providing an authentic nature experience enhanced by educational, experiential, and sensory elements along the walkway.
Here, you will experience this unique forest landscape and its diverse life forms in a whole new dimension.
The walkway is 1,300 meters long and ends at the platform of the impressive observation tower at a height of 44 meters, promising virtually limitless and breathtaking views: on one side, of the cultivated landscape of the Bavarian Forest stretching to the Alps, and on the other, towards the Lusen mountain, an uninhabited area of pure forest and wilderness.

In the direction of Regen/Deggendorf on the B85. Approximately 3 km after Eberhardsreuth take the exit "SCHÖNBERG Süd". Continue following the signs to "SCHÖNBERG". After about 200 m turn right and follow the road until you reach the Familotel Schreinerhof.
WEST (from the direction of A3 Deggendorf-Passau, A92 Munich)
Hengersberg motorway exit: Drive towards Freyung/Grafenau on state road 533. Approximately 5 km after Innernzell, the 533 merges into the B85. From here, turn right towards Passau. Take the Schönberg Süd exit on the right. From here continue towards "Schönberg". After 200 m turn right and you will reach the Familotel Schreinerhof.
EAST (From Freyung, Czech Republic):
You drive towards Grafenau on the state road 533, past Grafenau towards Regen/Deggendorf, until the 533 merges into the B85. There, turn right towards Regen/Deggendorf. After about 1 km take the exit "SCHÖNBERG Süd". Continue along the signs to "SCHÖNBERG". After about 200 m turn right and continue to the Familotel Schreinerhof.
BY TRAIN OR PLANE:
For rail travelers, we recommend choosing the destination stations Grafenau, Deggendorf or Passau.
We offer a free pick-up service upon arrival in Grafenau. If you arrive in Deggendorf or Passau, we will be happy to arrange a taxi for you.
For air travelers arriving at Munich Airport, Deggendorf Central Station is the closest station.
