We are pleased to be able to award the title of top farm for the first time and we don't want to keep you in suspense any longer. We present to you the 30 best holiday farms that prevailed against 2,500 farms from Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Italy.

The award is based on the criteria of popularity, quality and positive guest experience.

The top rankings in 2024

1. Place: Familotel Landgut Furtherwirt (Tyrol / Austria)

Highlight: Organic farm with many animals, riding stable, varied children's program in the Happy Club, wellness offers, outdoor playground, children's swimming courses, family sauna, children's ski course, toboggan slope and the swimming lake in summer.

2. Place: Biohof Kofler (South Tyrol / Italy)

Highlight: Visits to the stables, where you can experience daily farm life and taste fresh milk. And at the same time you will learn something about how and where our food comes from.

3. Place: Biohof Maurachgut (Salzburg / Austria)

Highlight: There are numerous farm and pet animals at the traditional farm. Breakfast with farm products, a top location in the Gastein Valley and newly renovated holiday apartments invite you to an unforgettable holiday on the farm.

Highlight: The special location of the farm, far away from the stress of everyday life. The farm is located on a hill above Hinterglemm, approx. 1.5 km from the center. You also live in a bike and hiking paradise and can start numerous bike trips and hikes directly from the farm.

5th place Ferienhof Landerleben (Vorarlberg / Austria)

Highlight: The breathtaking sunrise, which puts you in a calm and relaxed atmosphere. Our goal is to give every guest the opportunity to turn their backs on their world for a while.

Highlight: The warm, covered pool. In 2023 we built a wood-burning oven and we bake pizza, bread, cakes and meat dishes with our guests once a week.

Highlight: The highlight is our location, the active farming and of course the special way you spend your holiday with us. The fact that our holiday cabins are without electricity is an experience for many. Candles and oil lamps instead of ceiling spotlights. Cooking on the wood stove or outside over the fire. No television, internet, etc. and no one misses it. Instead, time for the family. Experience time more consciously.

13th place Irxner mountain farm (Styria / Austria)

Highlight: The renovation of the first half of the house is completed and 7 brand new apartments will be ready next year. The location, especially in summer, delights you with a breathtaking view. Regular guests appreciate the quality and are happy to return.

Highlight: You can be there while milking and try it out yourself. Our farm is located in the beautiful Habachtal, a natural valley that enchants with breathtaking mountain panoramas and picturesque waterfalls.

Highlight: For our little guests it is always door feeding. We have also been offering a barrel sauna since last year, which has also been very popular.

Highlight: Barbecue on the sun terrace followed by pony riding.
