The Schwalbenhof holiday paradise is located on the edge of the village of Brudersdorf in the heart of Mecklenburg Switzerland, on the edge of the Trebeltal landscape protection area.
It houses several very beautiful and comfortably furnished holiday apartments and holiday homes, some of which are disabled-friendly.
We run a small, private mini pony breed and keep Australian Shepherd herding dogs and also offer guided pony riding.
On a large playground there is a lifelike knight's children's play castle, made of stone, with sleeping options in real knight's bunks.
In addition to our many farm animals, there is also a quaint western town with a longhorn saloon and campfire pit,
So everything your heart desires but not only makes children's hearts beat faster...

When handled appropriately, our ponies are safe and calm in nature.
When foals are born, you can watch the little ones playing and running around in the paddock near the “Drachenfels” castle in summer.
Whether it's mucking out the stables, handling the pony or grooming them together before riding the pony - there are many opportunities for positive experiences. -

Our very curious donkey is the smartest in our four-legged group.
Highly intelligent as he is, no castle is safe from him. He is our star in pony riding.
In typical donkey mania, he likes to stand still rather than leap forward. -

Our sheep, goats and deer are very tame and enjoy being petted at the fence.
Since 2010 we have set up a separate petting enclosure especially for the children.
Here our somewhat more robust animals, such as the dwarf goats, look forward to being petted. -

There's a lot of chaos in our enclosure here.
Geese, ducks, turkey and many types of chicken are represented.
Basically, everything that has feathers on the farm is welcome to be fed.
We are happy to provide a few grains at feeding times. Otherwise, bantam chickens, ducks and geese also look forward to bread and leftover food.

The apartment is on the ground floor and has a separate entrance to the courtyard.
With around 70 m², it offers plenty of space for 2 - 4 people.
The cozy living room is very comfortably furnished, with a large dining table and a seating area with a leather couch.
The kitchen area has a complete kitchenette with oven, stove, coffee machine, kettle, toaster, etc.
The master bedroom has a large double bed with 2 (200 x 90 cm) mattresses
The children's bedroom has a bunk bed, each with a mattress (200 x 90 cm) -

Like the swallow's nests of our feathered friends, the "little swallow's nest" is upstairs, on the upper floor.
It has around 35 m² and can accommodate 2 - 4 people.
The cozy living room has a high-quality double sofa bed (2 x 80 cm x 200 cm) and is equipped with a complete kitchenette (toaster, coffee machine, kettle, oven, hob, etc.).
The small separate bedroom has 2 single beds (200 x 90 cm)
Next to it is a small bathroom with toilet, sink and shower. -

"Pony No.1" has a size of approx. 40 m² and is designed for 2 to 5 people.

The apartment has a master bedroom with a double bed (2 x 200 cm x 90 cm) and a separate children's bedroom with 1 bunk bed and 1 single bed (90 x 200 cm each).

Here in the old farm barn are the spacious horse boxes with an outdoor stable, feed chamber and silo.
Behind it is a large run with a passage to the paddock.
In the left part we have developed rustic but comfortable holiday apartments for you. see our "big swallow's nest" and our "little swallow's nest" -

Our pony ranch
The “Pony Ranch” got its name because of the ranch-like porch.
From here you can watch picturesque sunsets on the horizon behind the pony pasture when the weather is nice.
The pony ranch shares its parking lot with the mansion. It is located on the edge of the courtyard and from it you can view the picturesque landscape behind it unhindered. The entrances are all at ground level and separate. -

Our farm's own little western town was completed in the summer of 2001.
It houses the already “cinematic” Longhorn Saloon in the middle part.

The historic "Lower German Hall House" of the old farm was completely demolished in 1994 and rebuilt at the same location with great attention to detail. Externally, it is exactly the same as the old house in shape and size, but has a modern design and is equipped to meet today's requirements.

Directions
Brudersdorf is a municipality in the town of Dargun and is located in the heart of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania near the Hanseatic city of Demmin, in the middle of Mecklenburg Switzerland with its many rivers, lowlands and lake landscapes.
The sat navs are happy to guide you along the shortest route over bumpy roads
If you come via Demmin, do not turn right at the gas station/Kaufland towards Drönnewitz
but continue to follow the main road towards Dargun.
After Warentzin you can take the asphalted dirt road on the right to Beestland (turn left at the end of the path).
Then just go straight ahead.
Here in Brudersdorf, turn right behind the church and take the first driveway on the left.
(always head towards the big knight's castle)
Or you can easily continue on to Dargun and then to Brudersdorf
If you are coming from Rostock and don't want to take the Plattenweg via Groß Methling.
Do not turn into Gnoien, but continue via Dargun (only 5 to 10 minutes longer)
