What criteria are necessary to get the certificate?
A family farm must be equipped for children, be able to respond to the wishes of families and children and have an environment suitable for children. Certification only makes sense if a farm describes itself as family-friendly. The requirements for this are:
- Animals you can touch on the farm (petting zoo if necessary)
- Playground with at least 4 different play equipment
- Dedicated playroom for children (no general lounge)
- Organic farming or sustainable farming
- Agricultural activities are done together with children (e.g. collecting eggs in the morning)
The certification is awarded for 24 months .
What controls are there?
To ensure the accuracy of the information and a high level of quality of the certification, there is a multi-stage verification process. This looks like this:
- Confirmation of truthful information by the host in the system.
- Control of entries by the editorial team of bauernhofurlaub.info.
- If the inspection is passed, the certificate is awarded (online and by post).
