Points & Visibility – this is how the ranking on bauernhofurlaub.info is created
The standard sorting of holiday farms is based on a transparent points system. Three levers determine your visibility: completeness of the listing, reviews , and Premium as a visibility boost. Depending on the product, additional points can be awarded (see below). Visitors can switch to other sorting at any time.
The points system at a glance
This is how the points are calculated. Completeness and ratings are based on the score . Premium adds a flat rate of 200 points. Additional points (e.g., in PLUS/BEST) further increase the total.
1. Completeness (up to 100 points)
The more complete your entry, the more points you'll receive. Text, furnishings, farm animals, high-quality images —everything counts. The completeness award is given for 100%.
Important: Only portal operators can fully edit data after logging in. Guests can, for example, upload guest photos , but these earn fewer points than operator photos.
2. Ratings (up to 100 points)
Real reviews help guests make decisions and boost your score. The first review carries the most weight, and each subsequent review adds even more.
Rating tips
- After your stay, politely ask for feedback – ideally with a direct link.
- Integrate a rating widget on the farm website.
- Respond to reviews quickly and appreciatively.

3. Premium (flat rate +200 points)
Premium boosts your visibility: In addition to completeness and ratings, you receive 200 points and appear above non-Premium entries in the standard sorting. Additional product-specific points (PLUS/BEST) are additional points and are described below.
Additional points
Additional points are awarded based on editorial and product performance, increasing the maximum points achievable beyond the premium base.
- PLUS maximum points up to 800
- BEST maximum points up to 1000
- +1500 Holiday Farm of the Month (1 month)
Note: "Holiday Farm of the Month" receives 1,500 bonus points for one month (limited time). The award is given editorially as part of our campaigns.
Zieglinde has a few visibility tips:
- Images work: Bright, current photos with people on the farm increase the click rate.
- Enable reviews: Send your review link immediately after departure.
- Short & clear: A slogan (only for premium farms) can make the difference in clicks.
Transparency for guests
The default sorting is by score. Guests can switch to:
- Best rating (highest average above)
- Most reviews
- Latest entries
Important: Points, premium, or additional points do not influence guest reviews. Reviews come exclusively from visitors and are moderated according to clear guidelines. Reviews that comply with the guidelines will not be deleted upon request and cannot be purchased.
No. Premium only affects visibility in the standard sorting (+200 points), not the average rating. Reviews are provided by guests and are subject to clear guidelines.
Premium PLUS awards additional points – up to a maximum of 800. Premium BEST awards a maximum of 1000. The basis remains: completeness + ratings + premium (+200).
