Description Farm holidays
Our farm is idyllically located in the quiet countryside near Semriach. The wonderful location and the view of Graz's local mountain, the Schöckel, and Semriach are particularly worth mentioning. The absolutely quiet location with no through traffic ensures that your children can play safely on the farm.
With us you can experience the work on the farm up close. You can be there “live” during every stable and feeding session; we look forward to telling you everything you want to know about our animals. Children “understand” life on the farm in the truest sense of the word.
The 85 m² holiday home in a fantastic location can accommodate up to 6 people. It is completely newly built and radiates a pleasant warmth.
Hiking trails lead directly from the farm to the Kesselfall, the Lurgrotte or Peggau. A hike up the Schöckel is particularly recommended, from where you have a wonderful view of Graz, southeast Styria and the Graz mountains. You should not miss Graz with its old town and the open-air museum in Stübing.
Since our farm is only a 2-minute drive from Semriach despite its quiet location, the outdoor swimming pool, shops and inns are in the immediate vicinity.

Lurgrotte
Around 25 kilometers north of Graz you can visit Austria's largest active water cave and discover a bizarre cave world full of sinter formations, stalactites, huge rock domes and underground rocky gorges.
Follow the Lurbach down into the cave world, but don't rely on it, because it will soon disappear into the depths of the cave and leave you alone on the path of this timeless, underground cosmos where there are no limits to your imagination.
You will soon reach the Great Cathedral, one of the highlights of the tour. What is particularly impressive is its size:
With a length of 120 meters, a width of 80 meters and a height of 40 meters, the cathedral is one of the ten largest cave domes in the world.
The beginnings of the cave lead back into the darkness of the earth's history.
It is certain that 30,000 years ago there was a phase of particularly intensive stalactite formation in the Lurgrotte, but how old the oldest formations are is currently unknown.

As early as 1873, work began on building a footpath in the so-called Rötschgraben to the Kesselfall. The waterfall, which falls in several stages at a height of 38 meters, gets its name from the cauldrons (basins). Access to the waterfall was made possible by two wooden stairs. Ernst von Coelin and the Styrian Mountain Association began making the entire Kesselfallklamm accessible in 1904. The path stretched over 600 meters from the “Alten Sandwirt” to the “Kerschbaummühle”. The facility opened on July 31, 1904. A marble plaque near the waterfall commemorates the event.[1]
Over the course of its history, the climbing system in the gorge has been damaged by floods. A severe storm devastated the Kesselfallklamm in July 1975 and tore away large parts of the complex. A short time later it was rebuilt. The Kesselfallklamm is currently looked after by the Austrian Alpine Club -
Schöckl
There is a climbing park in the area surrounding the valley station.[2] Near the mountain station there is a motor skills park[3], the Hexenexpress summer toboggan run[4], a disc golf course[5], a launch ramp for paragliding and hang gliding[6] and a 3.4 km long barrier-free hiking route.[7] A 35 km long cycle path and an 8 km long downhill route to the valley station also begin there.[8]
A variety of hiking trails lead up and over the Schöckl, including the Styrian Mariazellerweg
