Description Farm holidays
We run an organic farm in the heart of Flachau. A few years ago we specialized in fattening oxen. From June to September our animals graze on the alpine pasture. A few calves graze at home. Our chickens provide us with fresh eggs, a cat sometimes scurries past and the sheep and rabbits enjoy their time outdoors in summer.
The small agricultural engineering workshop on our farm is unique. New machines are at the gate every day waiting for service from Martin. Maria can usually be found in the vegetable garden because the herbs grow faster than the tender vegetable plants, especially in spring. Our 4 children David, Gabriel, Karoline and Sebastian take care of the vehicle fleet for the little ones. Martin Sr. takes care of the animals on the farm and Kathi is responsible for the well-being of our guests.
Flachau is a well-known winter sports resort. In summer, Flachau offers everything for adventure and active holidays: from rafting, Segway, mountain cart to zorbing and high ropes course, everything is available. The free FlachauCard includes daily guided hikes, lift rides and a sports program (football, volleyball, archery, etc.).
Once across the street there is a supermarket and the Enns cycle path. Less than a kilometer further on the A10 you can get to excursion destinations and sights throughout Salzburg as quickly as possible.
In addition to 2 bathing lakes in Flachau, the Therme Amadé offers bathing fun in any weather.
There are many options - but you can also take it easy and relax on our house bench while the children run around in the playground and watch our animals.
Little tip: snacking is allowed in the berry garden! 😉
