Imagine opening the balcony door and looking directly at the Hohe Salve and the Brixental mountains. Fresh mountain air, birdsong, a cowbell ringing somewhere – and you know: This is the right place for me.
In the heart of Tyrol, nestled between meadows and forest on a sunny plateau on the Grafenweg in Hopfgarten, lies our ancestral farm “Achrainer-Moosen”. It has been in our family's possession since 1609 – for over 400 years and 14 generations. Anyone who wishes is welcome to browse through our farm chronicle; they are all listed there.

Real agriculture, up close and personal

Our farm is organically managed – with dairy and livestock farming, our own forest and garden. In the barn, cows, calves, pygmy goats, rabbits, free-range chickens and cats are waiting to be petted and fed by you and your children. The evening feeding time is a regular part of the program for our little guests.
You can watch the haymaking, collect eggs, drive the cows out to pasture – or accompany us to the alpine pasture in summer and be right there during cheese production.
What awaits you on the breakfast table comes directly from the farm: fresh milk, eggs, homemade cheese and butter from the alpine pasture, Martina's farmhouse bread, jam, bacon, "Kaminwurzn", herb salt, apple juice and much more – you can taste the difference.

Your apartment – ​​a home away from home

The “Hohe Salve” measures 50 m² and is designed for 2 to 6 people. We completely rebuilt it five years ago – using a lot of reclaimed wood and a coziness that is rarely found these days. "Homey" probably describes it best.
This is how it is divided:

• Two separate bedrooms, both accessible from the hallway
• in the children's room a bed combination – depending on the room, as a double bed, bunk bed or triple bed
• Bathroom with shower and toilet
• cozy eat-in kitchen
• Private balcony with panoramic views of the Kitzbühel Alps – and you can access the balcony from every room.
  You'll find everything you need in the kitchen.
  Dishwasher, stove with ceramic hob and oven, refrigerator with freezer compartment, microwave, coffee machine, kettle, egg cooker, toaster – and a bread machine for our homemade bread. Pots, cooking utensils and even the spices are ready. We'll gladly provide you with a "Sodastream" so you don't have to lug around crates of mineral water.
  Always included: Bed linen, towels, electricity, water, Wi-Fi and DSL internet. It also includes satellite HD TV, a CD radio, and a safe.

A paradise for children

Right next to the farm, the little ones can let loose on the large playground – with a giant trampoline, pedal tractor, sandbox, swings and slide. In the forest, they discover hidden garden gnomes along the Gnome Trail. Petting animals, experiencing nature, feeling freedom – here, holidays are simply fun for children.
And with the little ones, you can travel “with minimal luggage”: We will gladly provide you with a crib, highchair, baby bathtub, changing mat, toilet seat and child carrier free of charge. So you don't need to fill half the car.
Are you coming with two families – or are the grandparents with you?
We rent out two lovingly furnished holiday apartments – the “Hohe Salve” and the “Alpenrose”. Both are identically equipped and are located directly next to each other. The “Alpenrose” faces slightly more south, the “Hohe Salve” more east – so you can have breakfast on the balcony with the morning sun.
Together you have space for up to 12 people. This is the ideal solution for two families who are friends, or for grandparents with their grandchildren: Everyone has their own space – and yet you are still together.

Your surroundings – summer and winter

Hopfgarten im Brixental lies between Kitzbühel and Wörgl and is an experience in every season.
In summer, wonderful hiking trails – some start right at our farm – and bike tours through the Kitzbühel Alps beckon. In addition, there is the bathing lake with fun park in Hopfgarten, the "mountain adventure worlds" and excursion destinations such as Innsbruck, Salzburg or the Krimml Waterfalls.
In winter you can reach the gondola lift of the Skiwelt “Wilder Kaiser – Brixental” in just 5 minutes – one of the largest interconnected ski areas in Austria with 275 km of slopes and 81 lifts. Hopfgarten is one of the seven SkiWelt resorts, so you're right in the middle of it. Sledding, building a snowman, attempting your first ski turns – all this is possible right on our doorstep; bobsleds and toboggans are available.
By the way: Your guest card also serves as a ticket for public transport in the "Kitzbühel Alps" region.

Arrival

Arriving by car is just as easy as by train – we're happy to pick you up from the station. So, arriving by train is no problem at all. And for those who drive electric vehicles: We have an electric charging station on our farm, powered by our own photovoltaic system.
