Imagine opening the balcony door and looking directly at the Hohe Salve and the Brixental mountains. Fresh mountain air, birdsong, a cowbell ringing somewhere – and you know: This is the right place for me.
In the heart of Tyrol, nestled between meadows and forest on a sunny plateau on the Grafenweg in Hopfgarten, lies our ancestral farm “Achrainer-Moosen”. It has been in our family's possession since 1609 – for over 400 years and 14 generations. We, the Achrainer family, are happy to welcome you.
Real agriculture, up close and personal
Our farm is organically managed – with dairy and livestock farming, our own forest and garden. In the barn, cows, calves, pygmy goats, rabbits, free-range chickens and cats are waiting to be petted and fed by you and your children. You can watch the haymaking, collect eggs, drive the cows out to pasture, or accompany us to the alpine pasture and be right there during cheese production.
What awaits you on the breakfast table comes directly from the farm: fresh milk, eggs, homemade cheese and butter from the alpine pasture, Martina's farmhouse bread, jam, bacon, herb salt, apple juice and much more – you can taste it.
Your holiday apartment – ​​home away from home
We rent out two lovingly furnished holiday apartments – the “Alpenrose” and the “Hohe Salve” – for 2 to 6 people each. Both consist of two separate bedrooms, a fully equipped kitchen/living room with dishwasher, ceramic hob, microwave, coffee machine and more, as well as a private balcony with breathtaking views of the mountains. Bed linen, towels, electricity, water and Wi-Fi are of course included. For the youngest guests, we can provide everything upon request – from the cot to the highchair to the baby bathtub.
A paradise for children
Right next to the farm, the little ones can let off steam on the large playground – with pedal tractor, sandbox, slide and giant trampoline. In the forest, they discover hidden garden gnomes along the gnome trail. Petting animals, experiencing nature, feeling freedom – here, holidays are simply fun for children.
Your surroundings – Summer & Winter
Hopfgarten im Brixental lies between Kitzbühel and Wörgl and is an experience in every season. In summer, the Kitzbühel Alps offer wonderful hiking trails and bike tours, a bathing lake with a fun park in Hopfgarten, and excursion destinations such as Innsbruck, Salzburg or the Krimml Waterfalls. In winter you can reach the gondola lift of the Skiwelt “Wilder Kaiser – Brixental” – one of the largest ski areas in Austria – in just 5 minutes. Sledding, building a snowman, attempting your first ski turns – right on our doorstep.
We'll even pick you up from the train station – arriving by train is no problem for us.
