Our day starts differently. The children are already in the barn because the calves need to be fed. The kitchen smells of fresh bread. And outside, the Brixental mountains lie bathed in the morning sun. No alarm clock, no traffic noise – simply arrived.
Our ancestral farm “Achrainer-Moosen” is located on a sunny plateau on Grafenweg in Hopfgarten, between meadows and forest. It has been in our family's possession since 1609 – 14 generations, all of which can be read in our farm chronicle. We, the Achrainer family, are looking forward to seeing you.

The “Alpenrose” – your apartment on the sunny side

50 m² for 2 to 6 people, completely rebuilt five years ago. We used a lot of reclaimed wood – you can feel it as soon as you walk through the door. Our guests describe it as "homey".
The “Alpenrose” is slightly more south-facing. For you, this means: The sun stays on your balcony longer – well into the afternoon and evening. Ideal if you want to sit outside and look at the mountains after hiking or skiing.

  What's in the kitchen: Dishwasher, stove with ceramic hob and oven, refrigerator with freezer compartment, microwave, coffee machine, kettle, egg cooker, toaster and a bread machine. The pots, cooking utensils and spices are here. You can get a "Sodastream" on request – saving you the hassle of carrying water.
  Included at no extra charge: Bed linen, towels, electricity, water, Wi-Fi and DSL internet, satellite HD TV, CD radio and a safe.

Here, children are allowed to be children

The barn contains cows, calves, cuddly dwarf goats, rabbits, free-range chickens and cats. Every child participates enthusiastically in the egg collecting, and we all go together for the evening feeding.
Outside, the large playground awaits: giant trampoline, pedal tractor, sandbox, swings and slide. Hidden in the forest is the Dwarf Trail with its garden gnomes – turning every walk into a treasure hunt.
And you don't have to fill half the car: we provide a cot, highchair, baby bathtub, changing mat, toilet seat and child carrier free of charge.

From the farm to your breakfast table

We farm organically – with dairy and livestock farming, our own forest and garden. So, what you eat for breakfast is the same as the day before: fresh milk, eggs, Martina's farmhouse bread, jam, bacon, "Kaminwurzn", herb salt, apple juice – and cheese and butter from our own alpine pasture.
Anyone who wants to can watch the haymaking, collect the eggs themselves, drive the cows out – or come with us to the alpine pasture in the summer and participate in the cheese production.
Are you coming with two families – or are the grandparents with you?
Next to the "Alpenrose" is our second apartment, the "Hohe Salve" – the same size, the same amenities, only facing slightly more east (i.e., with morning sun on the balcony).
Together you have space for up to 12 people. This is the ideal solution for two families who are friends, or for grandparents with their grandchildren: Everyone has their own space – and yet you are still together.

What awaits you all around

Hopfgarten lies between Kitzbühel and Wörgl, in the middle of the Brixental valley.
In summer you can start some hikes directly from our farm. This includes bike tours through the Kitzbühel Alps, the bathing lake with fun park in Hopfgarten, the "mountain adventure worlds" – and for further excursions Innsbruck, Salzburg or the Krimml Waterfalls.
In winter you can reach the gondola lift of the Skiwelt “Wilder Kaiser – Brixental” in 5 minutes, one of the largest interconnected ski areas in Austria with 275 km of slopes and 81 lifts. Hopfgarten is one of the seven SkiWelt resorts – you'll be right in the middle of it. There is a free parking garage at the gondola station, very close to the station. And for those who prefer to leave their car behind: The “call taxi ski bus” will take you there in the morning and back in the evening, free of charge with the guest card – simply book the day before. Sledding and snowman building are possible right outside the front door anyway; bobsleds and sleds are ready.
Good to know: Your guest card also serves as a ticket for public transport in the "Kitzbühel Alps" region.

How to get to us

Just as easy by car as by train – we'll gladly pick you up from the train station. And if you drive an electric vehicle: We have an electric charging station on our farm, powered by our own photovoltaic system.
