(June 1, 2022, Obertrum) - A new internet platform is intended to make the search for the best place for a farm holiday much easier. The holiday portal www.bauernhofurlaub.info is currently under construction, but in the introductory phase there are already over 1,500 farms from all over Austria, Germany, Italy and Switzerland in the search directory. Interested holidaymakers can use numerous search filters to search for the farm's desired amenities. Special farms can be certified as family farms or as feel-good farms.

“Although we are not yet actively advertising bauernhofurlaub.info, we have already received thousands of hits and have already been able to arrange the first holidays to farms,” says Roland Bamberger, who launched the portal at the end of 2021. Bamberger has been running the family portal www.familienausflug.info very successfully for several years with more than 8,000 tips for excursion destinations and two million visitors every year. The goals are ambitious: the best holiday farms in the entire German-speaking region should be found on bauernhofurlaub.info. The aim is also to include the popular holiday destinations Italy, Croatia, France and Spain in the directory. “We want to become the leading portal for farm holidays and bring regular guests to the farms,” explains Bamberger.

Certification for family or feel-good farms

A special service is the introduction of certificates for farms, which make it easier for holidaymakers to choose their holiday destination. Bamberger says: "The planned target group certificates are a new service that does not currently exist. They ensure that the farms get the right holidaymakers and show the guests that they have made the right choice." At the introduction there will be certificates for family farms and feel-good farms. In the future there could be more, such as certificates for farms with a focus on seniors or couples.

Family farm certificate: The farm must be equipped for children, respond to the wishes of families and children and have a child-friendly environment . These include: animals to pet, a playground with at least four different pieces of play equipment, a playroom just for children, sustainably managed farming and the opportunity for children to take part in agricultural activities - such as collecting eggs in the morning.

Certificate of wellbeing farm : On these farms, the focus is on enjoyment and relaxation . The requirements for this are: homemade products for consumption, absolutely quiet location, organic or sustainably managed agriculture, wellness offers and additional meals for breakfast.

A special feature of bauernhofurlaub.info is that the entry, including all data, images and texts for the farm, is completely free . In contrast to the large international platforms , no brokerage or booking commissions are charged. The bauernhofurlaub.info portal generates income through premium entries , advertisements and marketing collaborations.
